  • The Rock Garden provides over 10,000 square feet of outdoor event space. Although suited for a more intimate affair of 100 people, if need be, we can accommodate 300+ people for a welcome party or 200+ for a seated reception.

  • This all depends on what time and how long you rent the venue for. You and your guests can stay after the event ends as long as it does not exceed our business hours. If you would like your event to run later than our business hours you may inquire with a representative of The Rock Garden and an additional fee will be charged at the time of booking—all events can not exceed past 1:30 AM. Please note that the town of Lyons has a noise ordinance starting at 10 PM and volume must be kept at a respectable level.

  • We require our clients to reserve a minimum of one hour at the end of your event for teardown time, but there are no requirements on setup time. We recommend checking in with all of your vendors and your planner to ensure you have adequate time.

  • Yes, we would be happy to work with you to ensure that you can customize the space to your liking while sticking within our guidelines.

  • The majority of the art is permanently installed in the venue. If needed, we can organize to have some of the art pieces removed or covered for your event – additional costs may apply.

  • This is a great question for your caterer and event planner. There are lots of ways to do this and it will depend on what works best for your event.

  • The Rock Garden has four restrooms that can all be utilized by your guests.

  • The upper courtyard has pavers and two wheelchair seating options, however the remainder of the property is gravel and a person who is in a wheelchair may find it difficult to get around without additional assistance.

  • This is dependent on when you are getting access to the space and what is worked out between your caterers. We allow access prior to your rental time as long as you clear it with a Rock Garden representative.

  • There will be a Rock Garden representative on site during your function that can help you with all your needs.

  • Yes, The Rock Garden has a beverage minimum which can be met in a number of ways. Food is worked out with your caterer/vendor.

  • No alcoholic beverages, sales must go through The Rock Garden.

  • No, however, the vendor must be approved and show proof of licenses and/or certifications.

  • A-Lodge offers three different clean up options after the Event has ended.

    Option #1. Clean up of the Event will be handled by A-Lodge with an additional fee.

    Option #2. Clean up of the Event will be handled by the Caterer and will be conducted in accordance with the guidelines set forth.

    Option #3. Clean up of the Event will be handled by a professional cleaning approved by A-Lodge and such clean up will be conducted in accordance with the guidelines set forth.

  • We are happy to hold a date for you. We will hold the date for 10 days. This gives you the first right of refusal if someone else wants your same date.

  • Yes, as long as the space is not rented we are happy to coordinate dates and time.

  • A 50% booking deposit is required to confirm your contract with us. Your remaining balance will be due the day of your event

  • Yes! The Rock Garden has 16+ parking spots dedicated to the building and an abundance of street parking.

  • Please do! The space comes alive with live music on our stage, bands can be booked in the event you are hosting a full buyout

  • No, however in the event there are damages done to the property we will use the credit authorization form to collect payment from you.

  • Yes! All the furniture in your space rental is included. Some of it can be rearranged, please ask us for more details. We also have two 24’’x72’’ tables that can be used for catering.

    In the space there is a total of 9 rectangle polywood picnic tables, and 16 hexagon polywood picnic tables.

  • Your vendors can do this for you, or you can work this out with the caterers.

  • Yes, outside furniture must first be approved by a representative of The Rock Garden.

  • All of our rooms at A-Lodge have AC and heat, however the venue space is fully outside. We have four propane heaters and two gas fireplaces that can be turned on and used for your convenience.

  • Guests may smoke in the parking lot behind The Rock Garden in the designated smoking area

  • We allow candles on a case by case basis, please speak to a Rock Garden representative.

  • We ask that you refrain from these types of items. We allow for bubbles and some types of confetti may be approved – additional cleaning fees may apply.

  • Yes, The Rock Garden is wired with outdoor sonos speakers that are easy to connect to through bluetooth as well as a PA system and mic that can be used for speeches

  • We have a 75 inch outdoor smart TV located in the lower courtyard you may use for a slide show

  • No, event insurance is not required at The Rock Garden.

  • If your event is for a wedding ceremony or reception we highly recommend an event planner or day-of-coordinator, The Rock Garden staff is not involved in the planning or coordination of any events.
